Mile High United Way Technology Fund

Help Bridge the Digital Divide

Mile High United Way’s Technology Fund was created in response to the immediate technology needs of under-resourced neighborhoods; children, families, businesses, schools, and nonprofit partners.

We know that COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the way we access school, work, and those we interact with. And, for the nearly 300,000 people in our community who were already struggling, this crisis has deepened the digital divide. The goal of our Technology Fund is to increase technology availability, connectivity, and usage through the following four strategies:

  • Devices: purchasing refurbished laptops or new Chromebooks with the goal of a 1:1 ratio of one computer for every student.
  • Wifi Access: purchasing promotional codes to support Comcast’s Internet Essentials for one year, free to families who register using Mile High United Way’s promo codes; and, offer purchased Mobile Citizen hotspot boxes through Voqal in Longmont.
  • Parent Tech Training: helping parents grow their tech literacy skills, so they can actively engage in their child’s online learning.
  • Community Advocates: building trusting relationships with parents within targeted communities to ensure the technology and training is utilized and parents supported.

Invest in Mile High United Way’s Technology Fund today and help bridge the digital divide for individuals and families in under-resourced communities of Metro Denver. We are so grateful for your support.
