Fairfield Film Festival

“There’s so much content, but nothing to watch!” It’s a familiar refrain. We’re here to help.

The Fairfield Film Festival is a 50/50 gender parity festival that showcases innovative films and filmmakers from around the world, and throughout the year. Hidden gems, foreign cinema, indie darlings—memorable films you likely won’t see anywhere else.

In these challenging times, fostering empathy, understanding, and unity is more important than ever. Films have the power to inspire meaningful discussion, touch our hearts, and open our minds. Programming includes a curated selection of features, shorts, animation, and documentaries—films that entertain and inspire moviegoers through compelling visual storytelling.

In 2021, the five-day Fairfield Film Festival will present an exceptional roster of films, intriguing industry guests, panel discussions, and nightly parties (but only when it’s safe). FFF will continue to run a monthly film series throughout the year and partner with local cultural institutions and non-profits to present programming that is meaningful to the community.

When not streaming virtually, films will be screened in the beautifully renovated 400-seat, century-old SHU Community Theatre located in the heart of downtown Fairfield, CT—steps from Metro North and walking distance to outstanding restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Located just 55 miles outside of New York City, Fairfield is easily accessible and one of the most charming, culturally vibrant towns in Connecticut.
