"Respect, Recognition, Raise."

5,000 Farmworker Sign Up Campaign!

At FLOC's 2013 Constitutional Convention, members unanimously passed a resolution to continue the fight to organize tobacco farmworkers in the South by launching an organizing drive to sign up 5,000 new members in the 2014 harvest season.

Farmworkers across the South are standing up and demanding respect on the job, recognition of their union, and a raise to $15 an hour for the back breaking work they do in the fields.

CMWJ is proud to partner with FLOC in this effort, and is committed to raising funds to help support farmworkers as they organize. Your generous donations will help send organizers out to the back roads of North Carolina each night to talk with workers about the importance of having a voice on the job, the current campaign for farmworkers' rights, future organizing efforts, and how to join the fight.
