What happens to a fun loving, enthusiastic teenager living life with no worries? Nothing is what the answer should be. You should be able to just enjoy living your life... enter Castleman Disease and you take all that is normal away. Elyse was 13: a new teenager, a great, life-loving, fun, happy teenager. She started feeling different and suffered from a skin disease (paraneoplastic pemphigus) due to an unfound Castleman's affected node. Literally in one week life had changed and we were thrown into a world of the unknown.

Castleman's was said to be benign. Now I know all too well that's not the case... Elyse lost her battle in February of 2014 after 9 long months living in an ICU, sedated after surgery, chemo, radiation, plasmapherisis, and a multitude of medication therapies. So little is known about Castleman's Disease and its effects. Please help! Please fight with me for Elyse and so many others!
