HOST
A HOUSE
CONCERT
WHAT IS A HOUSE
CONCERT?
House concerts are an important way for CAIC to showcase the work of our students and colleagues, and we are always looking for hosts for these events!
Inspired by the European salon of the 18th and 19th centuries, CAIC House Concerts combine food, drink, and conversation with enlightened performances of art song and chamber music.
A CAIC House Concert is a creative and inspiring way to bring friends, family, and co-workers together to hear great music, support the arts, and interact with young professional musicians in the comfort of someone’s home or other small venue.
WHY DOES CAIC LIKE HOUSE CONCERTS?
House Concerts provide important performance opportunities for CAIC Vocal Chamber Music Fellows.
House Concerts support CAIC’s mission of promoting art song and vocal chamber music.
House Concerts help CAIC grow its community of friends, supporters, and audience members.
House Concerts raise much-needed funds for CAIC’s educational and performance programs, including the annual Collaborative Works Festival and Vocal Chamber Music Workshop.
